Beef Caldereta (Filipino Tomato Stew)

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs beef chuck, cubed

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 1/4 cup liver spread (optional)

  • 1 cup potatoes, cubed

  • 1/2 cup carrots, sliced

  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 cup green peas

  • 2 tbsp grated cheese (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions:

  1. Preheat Platinum Cookware on medium heat until the surface passes the water test.

  2. Sauté garlic and onion. Add beef and sear.

  3. Stir in tomato sauce and liver spread.

  4. Add potatoes and carrots. Cover.

  5. Once temp hits 40–50°C, lower heat and simmer for 45 mins.

  6. Add bell pepper, peas, and cheese in last 10 mins.

  7. Serve with steamed rice.
